IshDARR – “Time Shawty”

In the summer of 2015, IshDARR developed himself a decent fan base with the Medasin-produced “Sugar” — a bouncy, dance-worthy tune full of empty-yet-fun raps about falling in love with an older woman. Along with “Too Bad,” which appeared on the Milwaukee native’s Old Soul, Young Spirit LP last March, “Sugar” stayed in heavy rotation over the summer. While the music doesn’t require a whole lot of thought, the energy and vibe are enough to fuel a night of kinetic partying.

While IshDARR’s newest tune, “Time Shawty,” doesn’t come with the same electrifying energy his two most notable tunes exhibit, but it does boast a similar confidence. Revolving around the idea he’s got “no time” for a woman, the Milwaukee spitter contrasts the love he was infected with on previous singles with a cold-hearted, 180-degree turn.
