Australian producer Flume has been known to combine his electronic-tinged instrumentals with the raps of emcees such as Ghostface Killah and Freddie Gibbs. Now, as the 24-year-old is poised to release his forthcoming sophomore album, Skin, in 2016, he revealed the latest single from the project, “Smoke & Retribution” featuring Vince Staples.
Sticking to his trip hop sound, Flume also employs the dainty vocals of songstress Kučka to counteract the forceful delivery of Vince’s raps. Flume is poised to have an impactful year, with performing sets at Coachella, the Hangout Fest and more.
