Daye Jack, who just started a North American tour with Pell, unveils the video for “Hands Up,” his politically charged single featuring Killer Mike influenced by consistent social injustice.

As the silhouette of the Atlanta rapper/singer deliver his rhymes, the video is cut with footage of protests stemming from the killings of the likes of Michael Brown, Sandra Bland, Freddie Gray and more.

Debuting on the first day of Black History Month, the director of the video, David Gallardo, told Billboard, who debuted the visual, “The montage served as a way to show that despite the tragic subject matter, it brought people together from all walks of life in solidarity about something that should not be tolerated.”
