Rather than releasing Chrys4.WAV, Inglewood hero Shawn Chrystopher will release his new project, Lovelost, instead on February 26th. A follow-up to 2014’s Summerlove, he’s dropped the first single from the project, “The 1.”
Whatever love Shawn had was in Summerlove is essentially lost, as “The 1” is full more morose contempt and sadness. Heartbreak, distrust, and everything in between appear to be the world Shawn is definitely in, and on full display via the dark overtones of this song.
