Like Lil Wayne and Drake, Janelle Monáe is also entering the Super Bowl 50 commercial craze. A longtime spokeswoman for Pepsi (she’s done a spot for the World Cup in 2014), she now stars in their latest spot for the big game on February 7th.
The advert takes on a “time machine” theme, as Monáe takes viewers through her musical timeline from the soul-fused roots of her The ArchAndroid days all the way to her current metamorphosis as one of today’s most exciting artists.
