Tuesday afternoon (Australian time), Thundercat took to the radio for an interview with FBi Radio in Sydney. During the interview, he spoke about working with Flying Lotus and Erykah Badu, being influenced by the likes of David Bowie and Paul McCartney, and at the end, he shared a new untitled collaboration with Mono/Poly (whom he worked with on “Paris”). When describing the song, he seemed to not be able to describe it — which is kind of what the song is about:

“Now this song is about having a… basically… when you… get stuck… I don’t know, do I just play it?”

Listen to the 17-minute interview, which plays tunes from Bowie, McCartney’s band Wings and the untitled song throughout, via FBi’s website, and listen to the new song, which delivers a reference to Kendrick Lamar’s “Bitch, Don’t Kill My Vibe,” below.
