With all the talk about Kanye West this week, one shouldn’t overlook the venture from another rapper closely related to him: Rhymefest. The Grammy-, Golden Globe- and Oscar-winning writer (for “Jesus Walks” and “Glory,” respectively) connected with Showtime for a special documentary, “In My Father’s House.” The film chronicles Rhyme, née Cheland Smith, as he attempt to reconnect with his father after a nearly 25-year absence.

The documentary is accompanied by an original song by ‘Fest, “Found You.” The emotionally-driven single serves as the theme for the documentary, as it chronicles Rhymefest’s struggles in life with having an absentee and addiction-riddled father.
