Sophie Beem, who is signed to Beyoncé’s Parkwood Entertainment management company, grabs Fetty Wap for her latest radio push, “I Got It.” Interpolating the hook from Young MC’s “Bust A Move,” the two deliver their sexually induced lyrics over some pretty generic production from ROBOPOP.
She spoke to Complex, who premiered the song, about releasing her music and having Beyoncé as a mentor:
“I’ve been working so hard towards this moment that it’s time for me to share my music. I’m so thrilled and so busy right now but I love it. It’s what I’ve always wanted. … I feel like the luckiest person in the world because I get to have [Beyoncé] for guidance and feedback and she’s one of the most talented female artists in the world.”
