It’s been a while since CharlieRED last appeared on the DopeHouse. In fact, ironically, the last time he rolled around was by way of a cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Dazed & Confused.” Today, the duo from New York make their return with another cover, this time taking on James Blake’s “Retrograde.” The duo stay pretty true to Blake’s original in terms of tempo and vocal delivery, but they do add a layer of dustiness and signature New York boom-bap to the tune.
CharlieRED’s MUSE. dropped a little over two years ago, so hopefully this a sign the duo is ready to return to our iTunes with new music. Listen to the cover below.
