Following his ode to Yasiin Bey (and his voicemail retirement announcement), Wara From The NBHD delivers two new songs to keep his 2016 campaign chugging along with “Skin Tone” and ‘Death Match.”

Throughout the two tracks, Wara offers a wealth of social awareness to touch on societal problems in America including racism and poverty. On “Skin Tone” and “Death Match”—featuring fellow Atlanta native J.I.D, he preaches how he’s lucky he’s been able to reach the age he has due to the environment he was brought up in though he understands it’s not a problem of the community, it’s a problem of the outsiders who want to suppress the community.

Listen to “Skin Tone” (produced by Wara, Willi Hendrixs and Thelonious Martin) and “Death Match” (produced by Thelonoious Martin) below.
