After jumping on “Don’t Do Too Much” with Tunji Ige late Thursday night, iLoveMakonnen returns to the DopeHouse with “Sellin,” the first single off his upcoming Drink More Water 6 LP.
Up to his usual antics of selling dope, Makonnen rolls through with yet another ear-catching hook to pair with loopy, simplistic, pace-keeping production. “I’m selling dope, I’m back to selling the dope. Call my phone to pull up, I’m out here selling the dope,” he spits, and if damn near every person in America isn’t chanting this in their car/in the club/in their house while they’re on the loo this afternoon, then they’re just living life in an unhealthy way. I’m starting to enjoy Makonnen rap about dealing as much as I enjoy hearing Pusha T do it.
