NorCal Nick links with frequent collaborator D-Rock for the dusty and mundane “Going Nowhere.” The single is the second release off D-Rock’s upcoming The No-No Beat Tape set to drop Wednesday.
NorCal, formerly known as Swerve916, uses the distorted-yet-soulful production to deliver a gloomy and despondent outlook on his current stuck-in-the-mud life. We’ve all been dug in that trench before, and Nick seems to really be in deep: “I don’t know where the day has gone, I’ll just write me another song. I been running a marathon going nowhere. Shaving off years.”
