Before I begin reporting the hip-hop-centric news here, let’s have one thing known: Mr. Robot is amazing. The plot surrounds a man named Elliott (he can damn near hack every piece of technology in the world, played by Rami Malek) who joins a larger group of hackers. This group wants to clear the world of debt by taking on a massive 토토사이트 corporation, E Corp (a.k.a. Evil Corp). It brings on obvious concepts of the proletariat vs. the bourgeoisie, those not in power rebelling and regaining control over those who do, and it’s intensified by darker themes of drug addiction and a a very real and relatable idea of how easy the world economy can collapse.

Anyway, where does hip-hop come into all this? Well, Joey Bada$$ is set to hop on the cast of Season 2. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Joey “will play a new close friend of Elliot’s from the neighborhood. He often talks excessively to Elliot, advising him and philosophizing the meanings of life.” Elliot, as I mentioned, is a severe introvert with layers of anxiety, depression and addiction who is far from a good communicator, so when it comes to searching for “the true meaning of life and society,” which often lowkey implied throughout Season 1, he isn’t the character to bring those issues up. Joey, it seems, will take on that role. This should be fun.

Season 2 of Mr. Robot will debut in the summer, so you have plenty of time to catch up. The series stars Malek, Christian Slater, Portia Doubleday, Carly Chaikin and more.
