Last week, Strange Music invited a few dozen folks from radio and press—including yours truly—to Kansas City for a showcase of the label’s upcoming talent.

Before Krizz Kaliko (who killed it) and Rittz took the stage, Tech N9ne and fellow SM co-founder Travis O’Guin introduced the rest of the label’s roster—which included Above Waves (a pop band from Chicago), Mackenzie Nicole (Travis’ daughter, who you may recognize from Tech’s “Fear” or “K.O.D.”), and Darrein Safron (singer from St. Louis). Each act brought their own share of personality and energy, so it will be interesting to see how their careers play out from here.

As far as actual releases are concerned, Rittz is next up with his new album, Top Of The Line, dropping May 6th.
