Ahead of a couple SXSW appearances, Denzel Curry, a large ball of energy from Miami-Dade County, drops his 10-track Imperial mixtape. After laying down the remix to “Knotty Head” with citymate Rick Ross, Denzel dishes the project’s remaining nine songs with features from Joey Bada$$ (the two toured together last year) and Twelve’len.
Along with the SXSW shows comes with the underlying tone of being discovered. And if his “Flying Nimbus” video was any evidence, his live performances will definitely do their best to turn heads. On its first go ’round, Imperial will add to the list of high-energy tracks Denzel Curry will blast into SXSW-goers ears.
