LL Cool J, quite literally, has gone from Hollis to Hollywood (but is he good?). However, he appears to never have forgotten where he has come from.
Active in music, television and movies since 1984, James Todd Smith recently received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. However, he’s made more news recently when he announced — then renounced — his plans of retiring from rap music altogether.
Today I'm officially coming out of retirement. And starting a new album .. studio time is set for 8pm.. I'm gonna massacre the rap game!!!

Prior to all of this, he was a guest on Dr. Dre‘s Beats 1 Radio show, The Pharmacy, where he dropped some raps over one of Dre’s productions:

LL previously promised a follow-up to his 2000 album G.O.A.T. (Greatest Of All Time), and dropped a few singles in support of it throughout 2014. However, he’s remained mum on it since.
