Thankfully recovered from his stroke suffered in December, the Nardwuar the Human Serviette made his way down to Austin, Texas, for SXSW last week, where there were interviewees in abundance. (Why wait to travel to them when you can meet them all in once place?) He got in contact with a fellow eclectic personality, DJ Khaled, and as expected, Khaled had plenty to say when Nardwuar handed him his gifts.
For the most part, Nardwuar stepped back and let Khaled’s personality and knowledge (yes, he’s not just a famous Snapchat user — he’s an actual DJ with a bunch of respect for the craft) shine through. He tells the story of how one of his beats reached the ears of The Notorious B.I.G. and overall, he shared stories of growing up in the Miami music scene. About halfway through the interview, Khaled finally realizes how much shit Nardwuar is able to find out, and that’s always the most entertaining.
