So last night, I was listening to SBTRKT‘s self-titled album, remembering how good it was, and BAM, here’s a new SBTRKT song. Last week, I listened to Justin Timberlake’s first solo album, then BOOM, Pharrell and JT show up in the studio together. So next week, I’m gonna throw some nostalgia,ULTRA. in rotation and see where things go from there.
Anyway, the British producer largely been silent since releasing his Wonder Where We Land LP back in 2014. But it seems SBTRKT is ready to get back into album release mode as he drops “Good Morning” featuring The-Dream via Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 radio show.
The song was announced along with a message, “SAVE YOURSELF ’16,” and later posted with a link to a website, SAVEYOURSELF.TV, where you can download the song for free. It starts of more grand than most SBTRKT songs have in the past and follows through with a dream-like sense of hope.
