This installment in Tim Westwood’s throwback series is so bittersweet.
Every week, the British DJ digs into his creates for vintage freestyles from some of the game’s biggest rappers. In the last couple weeks, we’ve gotten off-the-top sessions from Kanye West, Method Man & Redman, Snoop Dogg, Jay Z and plenty more.
This week, Westwood decided to liberate a freestyle from Phife Dawg, who unfortunately passed away Wednesday. He appeared bookending verses from Wild Child and Madlib — yes, that Madlib — who were members of the Lootpack back in the ’90s. This rapping stuff came so easy to him.
