Stepping out of the same shadows that eventually brought G-Unit’s Young Buck (and sadly, Miley Cyrus) into the limelight is Nashville’s Slimm Body.
Slimm, who is described as “a victim of circumstance,” has a refined way of digging into deep, concerning issues such as “drugs and poverty of the southern ghetto” with witty bars and anecdotal narratives, with the slight, extraterrestrial funk of Outkast and the candy-coated paint raps of the great Pimp C.
Today, director Charles Robinson invites viewers to Slimm’s hometown of Antioch, TN for the official set of visuals for “Baggies & Rubberbands,” off the upcoming The Slimm Body EP. Watch it up top, and keep it locked for the project’s release.
