Well$ – “130” (Video)

blame it on JES7 April 2, 2016

North Carolina’s Well$ has been on a steady grind these past couple of years, showing and proving his reliable persistence to focus on quality over quantity. Although there have been sporadic breaks between releases, everything the Charolette native has put out this far has been exceptional.

While it might be a bit hard to follow up his last release — the Metro Boomin-produced “Heavens Door,” Well$ manages to find a way to top it with a set of two visuals for “130.”

Hit play on the regular-released video up top, and the one-shot-take below.

“Habits of the young and reckless, actually still young and reckless / Make Forbes by 27, I’ll be right in the end,” croaks Charlotte rapper Well$ in the opening verse of the boastful “130,” produced by Angelo Mota and arriving today with a video shot entirely in one take. The one-take version of the “130” video follows the release of his Metro Boomin-produced single “Heaven’s Door” and finds the 21-year-old rapper and his team full of youthful exuberance, mobbing out in a graveyard of abandoned school buses in a wintery North Carolina forest. The one-take version of Well$’s “130,” directed by Summit Collective, is the latest release from his forthcoming The Way I’m Living Makes My Mom Nervous project.
