Rising female emcee Phlow is an electrifyingly fresh face and voice in the Hip-Hop universe, and a beacon of hope that will surely start ruffling feathers in the near future. The Lagos, Nigerian-raised lyricist is brilliant when it comes to scribing pen to paper, and is just as gifted when transitioning from the papyrus to the booth.

Born Stephanie Asuai Eyime, Phlow started writing rhymes back in 2005 as more of a hobby, until 2009, when she started taking the artform a lot more seriously. She recently inked a production deal with Str8Buttah Productions (which also houses the talented Teck-Zilla) just released her new EP, Mind, Body & Phlow — a fitting title for a lyrically-dense, yet humanizing project.

Recently, The Source chose to feature Phlow in their next World Wide Woman series, which will debut on April 13th. Listen to her tear through Teck-Zilla’s 8-track-produced offering with ease below, and keep your eyes and ears peeled for more from the sharp, gifted songwriter.
