Khrysis has laid production underneath some of rap’s most respected artists new and old, including Masta Ace, Mac Miller, Rapsody and the late Sean Price. The Jamla Records signee is gearing up to release a new instrumental album, MotherFuNker, on Friday, and today, the he liberates the first sound, “That Bounce.”
The song comes with dusty, ambient and groovy vibes, complimented by a sample from the movie Get On Up, a biopic about James Brown. “Are you gonna argue with God’s ears? If it sound good and it feel good, then it’s musical,” Chadwick Boseman says channeling the soul legend. And Krhysis aims to keep it simple as that with “That Bounce.”
