First audio, now visual: are iPhone/Android cameras truly the future?

The days of requiring a separate sack just for holding music long gone, it now appears that anybody with a pocket, Apple product, and/or a selfie stick could quite possibly be the next Ridley Scott. There has already been films shot on cell phones (the most successful, so far, being 2015’s Tangerine, a Sundance darling that was shot with three iPhone 5s smart phones), as well as countless crummy music videos. Now, T-Pain has come through with a phone-reared set of visuals for his single “Look At Me.”

As Teddy bluntly explains in the beginning: “The good folks at Ty-lite said they would send me a free case for that phone if I showed the case a bunch.” Using the built-in lighting system, Pain literally shot his own “well-lit, turd-quality selfie” video with his iPhone.
