Nashville’s Slimm Body Delivers Powerful, Inspirational Video For “Reach”

Last month, we proudly introduced you to Cashville’s newest supernova, the wonderfully talented Slimm Body, who made his official DopeHouse debut with the premiere of his “Baggies & Rubberbands” video.

The CEO of Wholesale Ent. has tapped into the same tapestry that has yielded other Midwestern/Southern greats such as Pimp C, the Dungeon Family/Organized Noize, Killer Mike and Big K.R.I.T. — essentially weaving himself into the same fabric.

Today, Slimm follows up his soulful, outdoor BBQ anthem with the equally dope new video single for “Reach.” Accompanied by an always-welcome Sade sample, the Nashville emcee find solace as he lays all his cards on the table to wax sublimely about his dreams and aspirations for seeing the world in a better shape, and eventually reaching the top of the list of the greatest rappers to ever do it. It’s an emotionally provocative piece that has been sorely missing, and gives credence to the old adage, “Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land amongst the stars.”
