While it wasn’t exactly the full blown reunion fans had hoped for, Ice Cube certainly came through in the clutch at this year’s Coachella. Although The Predator initially vowed to reunite the entire N.W.A at the annual arts and music outdoor gala — festival goers had to settle for a partial homecoming.

While Dr. Dre and Arabian Prince were absent (the former was more than likely doing his Beats 1 Radio thing), both MC Ren and DJ Yella made an appearance, much to the delight of fans. Regardless of the missing presence of Brother Rab and Andre Young, the legendary rap group has been snatching up multiple wins the past year. From having their story told in a successfully high-grossing biopic, to scoring their first Top 40 hit and being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame by Kendrick Lamar — it’s finally nice to see such an accomplished, historical group obtain the recognition they so rightfully have deserved over the course of the past 30 years.

Watch MC Ren join Cube up top as they perform “Fuck the Police.” Below, Snoop Dogg and Common hit the stage with O’Shea Jackson.
