It’s been a while since fans have seen new music from SZA, but the TDE songstress continues to work on her new project A, which is slated to arrive in 2016. Fresh from her Coachella performance, she reconnects with producer Felix Snow (who helmed most of her See.SZA.Run. EP, as well as contributed to her S and Z extended plays) for a new song, “Lies.”
Snow, who is the co-founder of EFFESS Records, has released this as the first single from the label’s forthcoming compilation project Nukes In The Kitchen. “Lies” reflects the EDM-based imprint’s sound, as it is an uptempo dance pop record that may catch listeners by surprise as SZA has stepped out her her “normal” aural lane for it. Flexing a bit of range some fans may enjoy this new sound from Solána Rowe, which can be heard below.
