Already we have been treated to a surprise drop from Problem and DJ Quik, as well as a new mixtape from The Roots affiliate Truck North, with a new project from Curren$y in the pipeline. So, naturally, one of the biggest purveyors of this day — Snoop Dogg — would come through with his own offering.
Produced by Mike WiLL Made It, “Late Nights” is as dusky and tranquil as its name suggests. Backed by a Midnight Soul-esque backdrop, Calvin briefly turns back the clock and delivers some pimp-tastic rhymes like he was 20 all over again. I could use more of this from the Doggfather.
