Mostly inspired by the work of Japanimation cartoons, Baton Rouge, Louisiana native Dude With No Name is your favorite lyricist’s favorite lyricist — and one that some are afraid to bring up in ciphers based on how deep he goes in.

With one hand on the pulse of hip-hop and his third eye wide open, aware and scoping everything that is happening around him, DWNN’s music tests the status quo and challenges listeners to be cognizant of the real war going outside. It’s intelligent rap that is almost always sure to spark up water cooler conversations.

Today, Dude follows up his Channel 5 EP with Ghost Files, which features production from in-house beatmaker A.D.D. Beats, Tineye Lee and Organized Konfusion. The title of the project is inspired by the Japanese manga series Yu Yu Hakusho (Ghost Files).

As a bonus, watch DwNN’s animated short for track #4, “Work 2 See.”
