Justin Timberlake… he’s an interesting musician, to say the least.

I say that because everyone who is reading this knows that, personal opinions aside, there is at least one song from his catalog — likely from his solo discography, but quite possibly from his ☆NSYNC days — that you enjoy. Me personally, I still feel that his best album was his first one, Justified. Sure, others point to his sophomore solo effort FutureSex/LoveSounds as his apex musical moment, which i will not argue with. However, when an album has production from both Timbaland and The Neptunes at their respective creative peaks? As an openly admitted Stan for Chad Hugo and Pharrell Williams, I’m always going to hold Justified over it.

He’s remained largely quiet since the release of his 2013 album(s) The 20/20 Experience, which came seven years after FutureSex/LoveSounds mind you. Needless to say, lengthy breaks from Justin are commonplace.

However, he has released a new single—for Dreamworks’ upcoming flick, Trolls—called “Can’t Stop The Feeling.” Scott Vener, acclaimed music supervisor for a multitude of films and television shows, recently took to Twitter to describe the song as “some dance MJ meets Bill Withers disco.” Needless to say, Timberlake is aiming for your summer BBQ parties with this one.
