Yes, while Puff, Jay, Birdman, Drake, and Dre dominate the upper echelon of rap’s stupendously rich (according to Forbes), Light Skin Jermaine tops the list in another category.

Billboard unveiled their list of Music’s Top Earners (album sales, tours, and the like), and aside from the usual assortment of the Adeles and Taylors and One Directions of the world J. Cole made the list as the top rapper/urban act (read: Black) at No. 27. Earning roughly $8.8 million in total revenue, thanks in part to his Forest Hills Drive Tour, garnering over one billion streams of his songs in 2015, and earning more than $1 million in publishing revenue. This pushed him past the likes of The Weeknd (No. 28, $8.6 million), Drake (No. 32, $7.4 million), and Nicki Minaj (No. 39, $6.3 million).
