While the rest of the world was preoccupied with Drake’s hosting/performance gig on SNL last night, the champion of the people Chance the Rapper was busy interacting, building and cracking jokes on the front page of the internet.

Chance, who is known to frequent reddit quite often, held an exclusive AMA for r/HipHopHeads.

Throughout the evening, Chano answered fans’ most pressing questions, including his favorite song off Color Book (Chance 3).

“How Great.” The setup, the children’s choir, Jay [Electronica]!!!!! My grandmother passed away a few weeks before we recorded, and my cousin Nicole sang “How Great Is Our God,” and it crushed me, a week later I had her come to the studio. [We] recorded her and, Francis did his harmonizing thing. It’s so close to my heart.”

When asked about the disadvantages he had to overcome by not signing with a major label, Chance enthusiastically explained:

“All of them. Except mfs still think they can stop me from recording and releasing music for free. They slowed me but CANNOT STOP DA KID, and that’s on my life.”

On his favorite Kanye West song, he revealed:

“We Don’t Care.” He keeps it mad wavy.”

On why “Grown Ass Kid” never made the cut:

“GAK” had sample clearance issue; bummed it leaked. Bummed it didn’t get cleared. It would’ve been track 11. Blessings are kind of one thing on the album, they both are meant to prepare you for your day and your blessing.”

Finally, when pressed if a Childish Gambino and Chance the Rapper project exists, Chano replied “Yes,” consequently breaking the internet.
