Earlier today (May 16th), Fat Joe was a special guest on ESPN’s humorous show Highly Questionable with with Dan Le Batard and Bomani Jones. During their conversation, Joey Crack would talk about the time Roy Jones stepped to him about his “Lean Back” line, his hardships growing up, and more. But the biggest tidbit he revealed has been a question Jones, Le Batard, and Papi have been inquiring about for years now: who was the New York Knick The Notorious B.I.G. was referring to on his Life After Death classic “I Got A Story To Tell.”

Fat Joe’s answer may surprise you: Anthony Mason.

Sadly, Mason passed in early 2015 due to complications of congestive heart failure, so he’s unable to corroborate the story. Also, Mason was one of the greatest NBA goons of all time (alongside Bill Laimbeer and Charles Oakley, among others); it’s kind of difficult to believe that Biggie — a heavyweight in his own right — brang-dang-danged his girlfriend, then robbed him afterwards. In the meantime, watch Fat Joe and Papi doing a duet of “All The Way Up.”
