Hip-Hop continues to penetrate pop culture (bringing em a lot closer to the block where they pop toasters).

Following the late Pumpkinhead being immortalized with the “renaming of Degraw Street between Fourth and Fifth avenues for PH, under his government name” in Brooklyn, the borough has officially declared today (May 21st) as “Notorious B.I.G. Day.”

Watch Eric Adams, president of the borough of Brooklyn’s announcement below, with Lil Cease and Ty’anna Wallace in attendance. The proclamation comes on what would have been Big’s 44th born day, and although it’s 19 years late, it’s better now than never, right?
