Hopsin‘s music often deals with him handling his inner demons — how they affect his everyday life and decisions. But, for the most part, he accepts them, because they make him the vicious rapper a cult of fans have come to love.

With the recent Funk Volume drama and fallout behind him, he echoes those sentiments more than ever on his newest cut, “Die This Way.” Matt Black and Joey Tee add vocals to the ominous, stadium-filling production as the Cali rapper puts on the horse blinders and makes sure whatever’s in the past stays there debating, “Should i smile like everything’s good and pretend that life is great? Or should I let the world see the real me and not hide this pain?”
