It feels like young Bishop Nehru is veteran in the rap world at this point. Though he’s just 19, his buzz started to build right around when most kids are participating in their sophomore year of high school.
Eventually linking with one of rap’s most well-known ghosts, MF DOOM, Nehru inked himself a deal with Nas’ Mas Appeal label. We’re still waiting on his label debut, but the New York native has made sure to keep his talents fresh in the ears of many as we wait.
Today, Nehru delivers his first project since last year’s Nehruvian EP (though he’s dropped more than a handful of loosies since then). Largely self-produced, Magic: 19 lands at 11 songs sans features, led by two singles, “It’s Whateva” and “$acred Visions.”
