Being the perfectionist that he is, San Francisco-reared emcee P-Funk has had to change the release date of his State of the Art EP a few times, tyding and tightening up a few things here and there.
As with all of his past work, P-Funk took the time to choose each sample used on the EP and also spent the majority of his time working closely with the producers to zone into the specific sound he envisioned. This was apparent with the few singles the EP has birthed, such as “Don’t Sweat Me,” “Boomin” and “The Summit.”
