Every once in a blue moon, James Fauntleroy resurfaces, drops a string of similar sounding single, then hops back into his songwriting hole for another couple months — like he’s in a never-ending stream of creating and publicly sharing demos for the music world (which, as a songwriter, I guess he should be).
After sharing “Sound So Sure” a couple weeks ago, it seems we’re in another one of those bouts as he follows with “Can’t Let You Go.” As many a Fauntleroy song has, the loosie comes paired with lovelorn lyrics, but this time around, the Cali singer/producer leaves the acoustic guitar at home as he curates a Timbaland-influenced beat with jungle-like sounds and orchestral arrangements.
