Nipsey Hussle, for better or worse, has been tied to Snoop Dogg throughout most of his rap career. From his street ties down to his physical appearance and lyrical delivery, Ermias has drawn multiple comparisons to Calvin for years with Snoop even wanting Nip at one point to portray him in the 2015 biopic Straight Outta Compton.
Nipsey has now teamed with Snoop on “Question #1,” the eighth drop in his Marathon Mondays series, produced by Mike & Keys. The track is unapologetically West Coast, down to its entire premise: the song is based around the gang-affiliated inquiry one gets asked when someone needs confirmation of a stranger’s “location.” Having been asked this my fair share of times, the best answer for this is always “I don’t bang.” You’ll get left alone — well, for the most part — afterwards.
