Aesop Rock – “Kirby” (Video)

blame it on Patrick Glynn June 27, 2016

The process in which Aesop Rock has rolled out his The Impossible Kid has been ridiculously entertaining and creative. Between the promotion though therapy sessions with an animated bear or unleashing the stream of the album a couple days earlier paired with a claymation film, the Rhymesayers rapper has showed a continued sprawling imagination with the content surround his new album.

Today that process rolls on with a video for “Kirby.”

As the cathartic tune follows Aesop’s venture into getting a cat, the video follows suit as a puppet version of Aesop lounges around the house with his cat all day. Suggested by his therapist he get a cat to help occupy his loneliness, the two do a whole bunch of nothing as the rapper comes to terms doing nothing is more with someone (or something) else than doing it alone.
