Last night (June 29th) Vic Mensa was a guest on Comedy Central’s The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore, joining Wilmore’s panel along with Rory Albanese and Robin Thede. While there, the four spoke on the recent backlash Justin Timberlake caught on Twitter during Jesse Williams’ speech at the 2016 BET Awards. in which he essentially (once again) used his White privilege to try to defend himself against a random Twitter user who approached him about his cultural appropriation of Black music.
