For a kid from Compton, it’s gotta be wild to be a regular at the White House.

Making his second appearance in less than six months, Kendrick Lamar — who first visited in January to record the “Pay It Forward” short with the POTUS himself — was back at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave as a special guest at President Obama’s annual Fourth of July celebration.

Handpicked by the President, Kendrick performed a medley of his songs (including “Don’t Kill My Vibe” and Obama’s favorite of 2015, “How Much A Dollar Cost?”) for the crowd of military veterans and their families.

Janelle Monáe, another favorite of the Obama family, also took the stage for a lively performance of her own.

Official footage will be available soon, but for now, you can watch Obama’s closer — which features him singing happy birthday to his daughter Malia Ann — below.

UPDATE (7/5): Relive Kendrick’s performance below.
