If you’ve watched the most recent season of House of Cards (or the news any time a presidential candidate is chosen to represent a party), you understand national conventions are a massive ego-massaging weekend for the respective parties.

On the weekend of July 25, the Democrats will officially vote for Hillary Clinton to represent their party for president. And in an ideal world, this meeting/gathering would take a couple hours and everyone would go home. Instead, the party spends four days of pandering, gathering donations and, if I had to guess, drinking a whole bunch to get them through the bullshit that is a National Convention.

One of the guests at this year’s DNC in Philadelphia will be Snoop Dogg, who will perform on the convention’s final day, July 28.

According to Billboard, Tha Doggfather will play at a “unity party” at the Electric Factory.

There isn’t much more information on the set, but it’s being hosted by “super PACs Priorities USA, the Senate Majority PAC, and the House Majority PAC,” as The FADER points out — so some of the biggest bankrolls of the Democratic Party.

Snoop Dogg endorsed Hillary Clinton back in 2015, too.

If Vegas were taking bets, I’m sure songs like “Drop It Like It’s Hot” and “Beautiful” would be the heavy favorites and — unfortunately — “What My Name?” would probably be a big underdog. A boy can only imagine.
