One of the best Dark Knight stories of all time is finally coming to the small screen.

Written by Alan Moore and illustrated by Brian Bolland, Batman: The Killing Joke provided a violent origin story for the hero’s most popular opponent The Joker. The one-shot graphic novel has been turned into 26th film in the DC Universe Animated Original Movies universe, and fans have been clamoring for its release since its announcement in 2015.

After many previews, teasers, and news about it, the film — starring Batman: The Animated Series favorites Mark Hamill, Kevin Conroy, and Tara Strong — finally has its release date: July 26th on Digital HD, with the Blu-Ray combo pack arriving August 2nd. The film will also hit movie theaters on 1,075 screens for one night only on July 25th. Even better, another clip of the film has been unveiled courtesy of DC Entertainment’s YouTube channel.
