It’s been a tough year for Ibn Inglor, but the Chicago native has been willing and able to fight through his demons.
After opening up about his bout with depression on “Pray For Health” in March, Ibn Inglor went back into seclusion to put the final touches on his next project, Honegloria.
“‘Honegloria’ is me at my most vulnerable, being an up-and-coming artist,” he told Noisey. “It’s a reflection of what I’ve gone though and what I’m still going through. I’m not really aiming to please any certain ear, I’m aiming to tell you guys my story and what I’ve been though this past year.”
Beyond disturbed over current events and living through tragedy after tragedy, Inglor returns to the first place he learned to speak up for himself — the neighborhood hoop court, of course — to air out his frustrations on “Not My King.”
