Your summer hasn’t been as bright as it could’ve been if you haven’t had Sunni Colón’s Thierry Disko in rotation since it dropped two months ago.

His newest jam, “Black Hole Sun 777,” takes the sounds of his last project and strips them down into a calming ride through Sunni’s mindset — until the final 30 seconds, where the guitars pick up into a groove.

Throughout the song, Colón is singing the chorus from Soundgarden’s “Black Hole Sun,” turning the dark and pleading lyrics (“black hole sun, won’t you come and wash away the rain”) into an intimate, soul-searching experience.
