For someone who dominated parties and radio from the end of 2014 through last year, iLoveMakonnen hasn’t lived as much in the mainstream in 2016.
Since dropping the featureless Drink More Water 6 and stepping away from the OVO label, Makonnen’s spent much of the last five months sharing an occasional song and feature — all while plotting the next step in his now-independent career, I’m sure.
Last night, the ATLien returned with “Side 2 Side.” The song was produced by Danny Wolf, which has typically made for a trustworthy combo between the two.
