A new instrumental project from Kno?! Man, the hip-hop gawds really do listen — well, sometimes.

Since the turn of the millennium, the Atlanta-bred emcee/producer has remained near the top of the totem pole of dope beatsmiths with a catalog that would make some of your favorite producers piss themselves if they had to compare. Yes, I said it. Fight me if you disagree.

On top of the entire CunninLynguists discography, Kno also produced his solo debut (Death Is Silent), a group project with Anna Wise (of Sonnymoon), Dane Ferguson, and Zoe Wick called To Dust, EPs for Seattle’s Sadistik (Phantom Limbs), Atlanta’s MarQ Spekt (Machete Vision), and countless other masterpieces.

Today, the Dirty Decibels producer has announced Bones, a 32+ instrumental project in the same vein as Excrementals Volumes 1-5, but curated and sequenced for a more enjoyable listening experience. Equipped with previously-unreleased instrumentals from Strange Journey Vol. 3, To Dust, and more (with brand new material, as well), the album will be available on limited-edition CD, cassette and 2XLP electric blue and white haze vinyl.

Take a listen to “The Skulls” and “Metacarpal Of Darkness” below, and pre-order Bones via Dirty Decibels Records before it’s August 12th release.

(The full list of titles is also included in the embed. But, even if you’ve been closely following Kno’s moves the last few years, you won’t be able to see what’s coming as each song has been renamed to fit the theme. One thing you can expect, though, every track will feature A+ production.)
