Late last night, TDE founder Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith sent out a somewhat cryptic tweet (following the release of Lance Skiiiwalker’s “All Stops” video) which hinted at a possible new project release date from the Cali-based camp.

If you recall, at the top of the year, Top Dawg updated fans with a loose blueprint of their scheduled releases for 2016, with plans to release at least six albums before the close of the year.

To recap: This year, we’ve been blessed with a “new-ish” album from Kendrick Lamar in untitled unmastered, followed by ScHoolboy Q’s acclaimed, Blank Face LP; giving us a total of two full releases so far.

With the Sept. 2nd release date closing in quickly, we’re left to speculate whose project we’ll be receiving in less than a month. Jay Rock closed out 2015 with the release of 90059, so that sort of takes him out of the frame. It could be SZA, who released her Z EP in 2014, or Isaiah Rashad, who also released his Cilvia Demo EP in 2014.

Or, possibly Ab-Soul. The last we heard from Soulo, he had dropped off his slightly tepid These Days album and in a moment of frustration, tweeted out “I’m this close to just leakin my shit like its a mixtape….”

But, as TSS pointed out, with less than a month away, whichever artist it is would need some serious firepower in the promotions department. Unless, of course, we’re getting yet another project from K. Dot.

Right now, all signs seem to be pointing toward TDE’s latest signee, Lance Skiiiwalker, whom has released the single “Speed” plus visuals for “Could It Be” and “All Stops” following the official announcement of his signing with TDE.
