DMV upstart Jay IDK is planning on dropping his Empty Bank project August 26 — a year to the day after he shared his introductory SubTrap LP.

With multiple singles (“Mentality,” “Somebody,”Trust Nobody,” “Shit On My Rivals“) in rotation, he adds another to the mix with “I Picture,” which will show up as “Is” on the tracklist. The single came with the reveal of the stunning cover art for Empty Bank, too.

“I Picture” revolves around the idea of what success looks like. Jay kicks off the song, “when I picture selling dope, I picture big, fat ol’ asses, big Cartier glasses, champagne in my glasses,” over the fiery and pounding production before detailing the good and bad of having tons of money and attention — whether from rapping or getting popular in the streets.

Jay talked to Pigeons & Planes about the artwork, which features the rapper sitting on a car with a “Rent Me” license plate all while a noose attached to the arm of Benjamin Franklin is wrapped around his neck.

“He’s a representation of what I feel like money is doing to people and at times,” he told the site. “The joys, the pain, the ups and downs, the fact that some people are starting to become slaves to it. It’s all about money.”
